THE MAXFOAM PROCESS
On a Maxfoam machine the freshly mixed liquid chemicals are piped form the mixer (1) into the bottom fed metal trough (2) where the initial reaction takes place before
Click here to see the full sized Slabstock Machinethe expanding foam (3) flows on to the bottom paper (4), which is sliding on a inclined fall plate (5). The fall plate is adapted to the necessary length and configuration so that the foam will reach the horizontal conveyor as a fully expanded slab.

The foaming trough evenly distributes the foam compound between the sidewalls (6), where the surface of the slab follows the side paper in a nearly horizontal line. The foaming material is dispensed at 70% of the eventual block height, some rising occurs, but the principal expansion takes place downwards over the steeply inclined fall plate.
